Special day - day 2

Our day concluded with a fun dinner at a Cajin restaurant in Baton Rouge with Judy and Bill Thousand with Valerie and Dwight and their wonderful spouces. Bill, Dwight and Valerie, lived next door to us in Monsey, New York and now the "kids" are grandparents!

As we arrived in Brusly, we saw this huge tree with a yellow ribbon tied around it - pretty cool!

As you saw in a previous picture our day started off in Alabama with beautiful blue skies and we had great trveling. Once we neared Baton Rouge the rain started and it really rained hard. If only Georgia was getting this rain.

We crossed the Mississippi River and then headed south to Brusly where we pulled into a driveway of a vacant home next to the Thousands. The power was off due to a downed tree limb so we enjoyed sitting in the carport getting caught up on many years of passed time.
