A Day at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon

The Colorado River looks like a silver ribbon at the bottom of the Grand Canyon and we could see several rafts cruising down the river from our vantage on the North Rim.

We took two fairly short hikes and then had lunch at the Grand Canyon Lodge at a table overlooking the gorge.

Another short hike, a trip to the gift shop and then off on an 18 mile trip on a rough unplaved road to Point Sublime. Really fun - and we had a Jeep, a Hummer, and our Land Rover for our adventure to a place few get to enjoy.
