What a view!

Flight

We flew over route 192, then the Town of Celebration, over the swamp - we even dropped very low into a clearing, over Reunion, across Countyline Road and Ronald Reagan Parkway and finally landed in Posner Park which is being developed where the old Baseball City and Circus World were located.
After landing all of the balloons (around 6 - 7) gathered for a celebration of champagne and some fresh food and yummies!

Marian and Rennie Zanetti then joined us and we headed over to Lakeland to go on three geocache hikes on some of the new TrekTen Trails created in Polk County. Found all three and we managed to get in about three miles of hiking.

Last evening we were feeling pretty tired and headed out for pizza and then some ice cream at ColdStone Creamery! Great ending for a very great day!

70th Birthday Celebration

What an fun and exciting day I had! We got up at 5:30 AM and headed over to the local Publix parking lot and grabbed some coffee and met our pilot and his crew in the parking lot. A helium balloon was released and the decision was to fly from "Old Town" a location off 192 behind a Publix where there is a large empty lot. 14 balloons and their crews gathered there for the fllight! Off I went with a banner saying Happy Birthday.

Banana Split

Forgot that Bill managed to get his annual banana split at the Don Cesar!

Saturday the 19th

We are now back in Deer Creek after spending a week at Fort deSoto Park which is one of our favorite locations!! We had fun geocaching, walking, cycling, boat riding and learning a new sport - frisbee golf!

This morning we had our weekly pancake breakfast at our Fawn Ridge clubhouse and tonight we have a dance there.

Jack Ehlenberg had told us about a restaurant on the water at Tierre Verde called Billies - they had free boat rides at 5pm which we of course reported in for! We ate there 4 times including a fun very special time with Scott - alone for several hours. We enjoyed the getting caught up time very much.
